Fashion: 5 edgy ways to style one denim shirt (Photos)

One shirt, five ways

We all have a denim or chambray shirt stashed somewhere in our wardrobes, right?

And let me guess, you probably style that shirt the same old way. With a pair of jeans and flats or heels, oblivious of the fact that there are so many other ways that you can style the same shirt to achieve a different and stylish look.

I think we should all adopt minimalism when it comes to style. Having less outfits and styling them differently without having to shop for more clothes. This is what sustainable fashion is all about and it’s not just good for you but for the environment too as it goes towards reducing landfill pollution.

Anyway, let me not bore you with all that pollution shebang, I’m sure you clicked this link for the style tips so let’s get into it.

One shirt five ways:

1. The good old denim on denim.

This is a classic look that will probably never go out of style. You can go for the dressed down look by completing the look with casual flats or dress it up by slipping on a carefully selected pair of sexy heels for a night out.

2. Ditch the pants for a sexy skater skirt.

A flirty combo that’s modern, stylish and girly.

3. While still on skirts, experiment with different skirt styles.

You could go for a pencil skirt, tea length skirt, denim mini skirt etc. You could either tuck in the shirt or knot it up for a funky flair.

4. Pair it with a pair of stylish casual pants.

When it comes to casual pants, your options are limitless. If you like comfort, you could go the athleisure way by wearing joggers, paired with the denim shirt and some flat mules or stylish sneakers. You could also go for khakis again, which are timeless. Camo pants and chinos are also a great option as well as cropped pants which you can slightly fold at the hemline to add some va va voom.

5. Layered separates.

A little mixing and matching never hurt anyone. Wear your shirt as a cover up, over a jeans and tank or jeans and vest combo. This look could either go with heels or flats, depending on the occasion.
