There is a new football darling who is turning heads and making headlines.
Guys, meet Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga.
The 24-year-old footballer has joined Japanese side Kashiwa Reysol after completing a three-year deal from Chinese side Guizhou Zhicheng.
Kashiwa Reysol on Friday announced they had bought Olunga from Guizhou Zhicheng in what is reported to be a Sh300 million move and will be paid Sh15 million per month.
Olunga moved to China after leaving Swedish Djurdargens IF in January 2016. He scored 12 goals for Djurgardens during his one-year stint at the Swedish side.
Olunga is the second highest paid Kenyan footballer after Tottenham Hotspur’s Victor Wanyama who pockets a cool Ksh 22 million a month.
Let me put this in perspective, Uhuru Kenyatta is paid Ksh 1,400,000 per month.
In a year, he walks away with Ksh16,800,000. That is almost what Olunga takes home every month.
Here are photos of Olunga when he is off the pitch and having fun with his bae.
